Adelaide Botanic Gardens
Adelaide Botanic Gardens is a large parkland in the heart of the city, with manicured gardens, walking trails, and many specialised plant collections. Founded in 1856, the Gardens are one of Adelaide's most popular tourist attractions and are home to over 10,000 different plant species. The Gardens also feature several historical buildings, including the Palm House (1875) and the Bicentennial Conservatory (1988). It has nine potential ceremony sites (Summerhouse, Cycad Collection, Palm House Lawns, Barber Shop, International Rose Garden, Araucaria Avenue, North Lodge Lawns, Economic Garden, and Sunken Garden) for your elopement or small wedding. On a beautiful day, it's an incredible place to have your wedding ceremony.
If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, why not consider getting married at the Adelaide Zoo? The zoo offers a unique setting for any wedding, small or large. There are a few ceremony locations available, or you can just get a wedding photography permit for your elopement. You and your guests will also have the opportunity to see some of the world's most amazing animals up close. With its gardens and diverse array of animal residents, the zoo offers a one-of-a-kind setting for your big day.
Auchendarroch House and Tavern is a historic hotel that was originally built in the 1800s but has been fully restored to its former glory. It is located in Mount Barker in North Adelaide and is just 30 minutes from the CBD by car. They host larger weddings but also have options for elopements or small weddings. There are ceremony-only packages in their stunning gardens. Get married and have a lovely meal afterwards at the tavern!
Barker Gardens in Prospect (just a 15-minute drive from Adelaide CBD) is a beautiful wedding venue set in lush gardens. The gardens feature a rose garden and a gazebo on the property. It is a popular choice for couples who are looking for a romantic and picturesque setting for their wedding day. It's also got easy parking nearby for any guests you invite. It's only $20/hour (minimum 2 hours), which makes it an incredibly affordable place to have your elopement.
Belair National Park
