Amazing New South Wales

New South Wales is an incredible place to have your elopement. Whether you’re looking to get married on the beach, in a vineyard, by a waterfall, in the mountains or even in the snow, NSW has a place for you.

There are over 870 national parks and reserves in New South Wales which gives you a ton of potential elopement destinations. Most national parks just need a permit and you’re all set. There are also a ton of destinations which aren’t in national parks as well.

One of the best things about eloping in NSW is that it features fantastic weather almost year round. It might be a bit chilly on your feet but you can absolutely do a beach elopement in the middle of winter in Sydney.

We love planning elopements in the beautiful state of New South Wales and can’t wait to be a part of your small wedding.

FAQ

Here are some questions we get about eloping in NSW. If you can’t find an answer to your question please contact us.

Yes non-Australians/foreigners can get married in NSW. You can get  married on a tourist visa! Please consider that is you are an LGBTIQ+ couple, there may be implications in your home country. That is unfortunately out of our hands 🙁

Absolutely!! We were ecstatic when same-sex marriages were legalized in 2017.

In NSW you must submit a Notice of Intended Marriage to the government at least 30 days before your day of elopement. Our celebrants can help you submit that form or if you’ve already submitted we can have the wedding even sooner.

Yes most definitely. Having an elopement is just the ceremony portion and makes your marriage legal in the eyes of the government. Many of our clients will have a reception or party on another day.

Yes, you still need two witnesses regardless of the size of the wedding. One of the witnesses can be the photographer if you choose a photography package.
