How do we legally elope in Victoria?

Before you run off to your chosen destination, there are a few legal requirements that you need to take care of. In Victoria you must give notice of your intention to marry at least one month before the ceremony. This can be done in person or by mail, and you will need to provide proof of identity and birth date. After your wedding there is more paperwork that needs to be submitted.
