Here are some questions we get about eloping in the Gold Coast. If you can’t find an answer to your question please contact us.
If you’re getting married in the Gold Coast, you’ll need to submit a Notice of Intended Marriage form to the government at least 30 days before your wedding date. The celebrant we match you with will be able to help with that. On the day of the ceremony, you’ll need to provide your celebrant with photo ID for both partners, as well as evidence of divorce or death of a partner if either of you has been married before. In addition, you’ll need two witnesses present for the ceremony. Once all of that is taken care of, you’re legally ready to elope!
The most popular time of year to elope in the Gold Coast is during the summer months. The weather is warm and sunny, and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. The beaches are also a great place to take photos or have a romantic picnic. If you are looking for a more private setting, there are plenty of parks and gardens to choose from. We’d recommend setting up near the water in the summer because it can get unbearably hot inland during the summer months.
